COPS HUNT UNDERTAKER MAN ON THE RUN AFTER EX-GIRLFRIEND IS MURDERED

The Portland police have launched a manhunt for an undertaker who is suspected of murdering his babymother in Port Antonio early yesterday morning.

Dead is Latoya Hill, 29, a teacher at Shebian Prep School in the parish.

Hill's mother, Julette Gordon, told The STAR that her daughter, had recently moved away from her partner following an altercation that had gotten physical.

"She and her kids them come back to live with me. Last night (Monday) we were in the house and she told me that she was going to talk to somebody down the road and come back. I went to bed and sometime after 4, one of her friends call mi and asked if she at home and I said no. She then say dem find a body and the description fit Trisha and that the police were going to call me," she said.

Nerve-wrecking

Gordon exhaled deeply as she explained how nerve-wrecking the minutes that followed were.

"Mi start feel weak and cold at the same time. I remember walking out the house and mi look to the east and mi say. 'Father, mi a ask yuh fi di strength to deal with this, if this is true'. And likkle after mi see the police vehicle dem a come and there and then mi realise say a true," she said.

According to the police, the teacher and her babyfather were involved in a heated exchange from as an early as 11:30 p.m. Monday.

"Neighbours reportedly heard the woman crying out and pleading nuh kill me," a policeman told THE STAR.

The police said that the man was allegedly seen dragging the body of the female along the roadway from his house at David Lane towards a vehicle. He reportedly made several attempts to put the body inside his vehicle but was unsuccessful.

The police was alerted and upon their arrival, the body of the teacher was found lying on its back with what appeared to be a wound to the forehead, about 3 a.m. yesterday.
